About "Water Wednesday" or "The role of nature photography in helping to preserve water resources"! When we talk about water in nature and all its forms from rivers to wetlands and lakes, exactly what kind of water and how much water are we talking about? The fresh waters of the world that we see in nature in the form of running water and are the cause of human life and nature, which are also called renewable water resources, include approximately 0.02 to1% of the total water in the world! That is, for example, if we consider all the waters of the world (salty waters of the seas, underground waters, polar glaciers and flowing waters) as the size of an ordinary glass of water, only a few drops of this glass represent fresh and drinkable surface waters! This issue becomes more important when we know that the distribution system of these waters on the surface of the earth is not equal and uniform and most of its area is made up of dry and semi-arid areas. In fact, a significant number of people have trouble finding suitable drinking water, let alone having a permanent river to take pictures of! Now, knowing the importance of the issue and the preciousness of nature and its waters, the basic question arises that what role can we as nature lovers and photographers play in the issue of preserving and managing the fresh waters of the world? To answer this question, we must know that nature and everything related to it is not inherently linear and behaves as a system, which means that there is not only one answer for every question, so we can do different things: [ 2 ]

1- Photography! When nature photographers record and display the beauty of nature, they directly display the beauty of their photography art and indirectly attract the viewer to the beauty of nature and interest in preserving it. 2- Visual contrast! A nature photographer can show the bad environmental effects of humans on nature, recording the destruction of forests, garbage dumped in nature, sewage dumped into rivers, etc., in contrast to the inherent beauty of nature itself, has a great impact on the photo audience. 3- Description! Due to the high artistic power of photographers and the fact that a nature photographer can show us everything beautiful in nature, many times we see beautiful photos that are visually and outwardly beautiful, but in reality they are an environmental disaster! To understand this, I will give you an example. These beautiful photos that you see here are the beautiful works of my good friend @nasimghanizade, which were taken from Lake Urmia in Iran. [ 3 ]
