Summer holidays time is in full swing, so for those heading off to relax on the beach (but not only) who might get a bit bored just lying around, I’ve prepared my own subjective list of board games to take along to kill the boredom :) Ideally, something that fits in a backpack and also takes up little room on your blanket and the game won't last several hours. Short info about the games in the comments👇 1. Virus 2. Dixit 3. Super Farmer 4. Cat Lady 5. Tiny Epic Dungeons

1. Virus An absolute hit for vacations and all kinds of trips, camps, etc. As a card game, it fits into a small box. The rules are simple and can be grasped in the first test game. The goal of the game is to assemble a body with 4 different organs, free of viruses. Unfortunately—or fortunately—the deck includes various viruses to sabotage your opponents, as well as vaccines to heal yourself and other more or less disruptive cards. It's a game for kids and teenagers, but adults will have a great time too. I recommend getting the Virus: Evolution expansion right away.

2. Dixit Another card game in a big box, though the box isn't really necessary. You can just take the cards to the beach in a bag and draw a simple board on an A4 sheet to move pawns. Each player gets 5 beautifully illustrated cards and makes up a clue based on one of them, e.g. "ALT SEASON 😅". The rest try to pick a card that fits the clue. Fun for all age groups!

3. Super Farmer I don't know if there is an English version of this game, but all you need is a translated manual. This one doesn’t use a board or cards—there are only tokens, which makes it even easier to play on the beach. You have different animals at your disposal: rabbits, pigs, cows, and even a horse. The goal is to get a horse on your farm through equal exchanges of one type of animal for another. But watch out—foxes and wolves can ruin your progress, and you might have to start over from scratch 😭
