Not all data is created equal. Structured data is the neat and orderly kind. Rows, columns, and clean schemas. The type of information you find in spreadsheets or databases. Easy for algorithms to process. But most of the world doesn’t live in rows and columns. Unstructured data is the messy majority. Emails, videos, social media posts, audio files. It doesn’t fit neatly into tables and requires advanced AI like natural language processing or computer vision to make sense of it. Most of the world’s data—around 80 to 90 percent—is unstructured. This is where AI is especially powerful: turning chaos into insights. TBC
