This. With ENS, I don’t think I want my identity tied to my wallet and find it weird that people do this. But in terms of wallet secrets…

24 word paraphrase > 12 word passphrase > binary file with private key > being stabbed in the eye with a blunt fork > plaintext private key

… this makes it a lot harder for noobs to accidentally post plaintext private key publicly, but also allow easy backup.

Can't agree with you (yet): smart accounts are not ossified enough to be Lindy, and ENS life-cycle can become complex. But I am in the minority, I still prefer to change my own sparkplugs.
