A bit of an odd hobby but I like to collect Goodyear welted shoes. And with that I like to polish them up.

Why Goodyear welted shoes? Because they last a lifetime. If the soles go bad, go to a cobbler and replace them. 

Sadly, there aren’t a ton of shoes being made like this. The only 2 American brands are Allen Edmonds and Alden.

Oh damn, another shoe guy?? I'm actually more partial to Allen Edmonds too although I guess people say Aldens are better. I can't really justify their cost...you can get a really decent shoe off ShoeBank for under $200.

Do you have any other brands you like? My favorite everyday brands are Carmina and Meermin (good value for the money), but my favorites are my 2 Gaziano Girlings, but I don't wear them that much
