It's kind of interesting talking to my colleagues when they're hiring, and what they're looking for
It's a bit sobering, but we have to realize that virtually no company or project in this space has found PMF
Aside from technical workers, if you're looking for someone with crypto background/experience, then you're just beckoning for more of the same and the space is going to continue to flounder
We need fresh ideas/perspectives. Maybe airdrops can work, but we've been all replicating the same methodology with minor augmentations thinking it's different enough. Maybe creator coins can work, but they need to be be branded and called something else. Who knows, but I think that crypto background could easily be more of an Achilles heel than an asset.
I'm also not a fan of "this space is different," argument and that someone new would have a difficult time adjusting. If you were able to adapt, so can they. :)
I do see a lot of parallels when it comes to the late 90s .com boom and today, but the way we viewed talent was much different back then. 1 reply
