Okay so my Metamask has stopped working on Base.

Have tried almost everything apart from uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I won't be doing that though.

It seems like an old transaction that has gone through logs as incomplete and it doesn't allow me to make a new transaction.

Issue is dealt with after updating MM through developer mode.

Yeah, this can happen in MetaMask :/ it's not a Base issue and can happen on any EVM that it supports, unfortunately

One thing you can do would be to reach out to the MM team for support (support.metamask.io/hc/en-us) or if you're open to trying it, these days Coinbase Wallet is pretty dank (coinbase.com/wallet)

I've had this on other chains but it would fix itself after a while or when I switched to another chain.

When I am on Base it doesn't let me access settings lol. I am telling you Base is cursed on my MM.

Interesting. Maybe adding another Base rpc from Chainlist and switching to that one can fix.

settings - advanced - clear activity should fix.

Use Frame, Rabby or Rainbow.

95% of “problems with Ethereum UX” are actually just MetaMask.

Try setting it to advanced mode where u can edit the transaction nonce, then set the nonce the same nonce as the failed tx, and do that transaction with a higher gas fee
