Could you say that grants are/ were ever “permissionless”? You have always had to win the DAOs vote. You still will. There will just be another hoop to jump through. It’s still permissioned in both cases 🤷‍♂️

It's also still unclear to me how you can call grats "permissionless" when they require a supermajority FOR vote. Isn't that the opposite of permissionless? You literally need "approval" from a select group to be transferred tokens from the treasury.

I am confused twice here...

1. Are you saying there will be KYC for buying a Noun? It is not my understanding that this is the case.

2. I am missing the logic step where "[my] voting power is diminished compared to previous"? Can you explain further?

Yes, grants are/were permissionless.

Props still have to get enough votes, but the important part here is that *anyone* can go and buy Nouns for votes and influence the outcome.

After DUNA, this no longer holds. Now it's the union of previous, plus new KYC restrictions.
