The Arc Institute has launched a “Virtual Cell Challenge” 

They are giving 100k to any person/team (independent/institution) that essentially builds a model that can predict how a cell will respond to certain changes

This sounds simple, but predictive, whole-cell simulations have been a pain to achieve in biology
