Given that the additional blob space capacity provided by Pectra isn't consumed yet, what is the argument for keeping a high priority on PeerDAS instead of prioritizing something else, like shorter block times or single slot finality? It looks like L2s are doing fine. Why do we keep catering to them in the short term instead of focussing more energy on other "neglected" areas?

We will need blobspace. And we can do some things now without a hard fork. For example gas to 60 million. I believe context switching is more expensive in overall capacity of the network.

Context switching is something that the engineers have to do. And what we just confirmed with EOF is that engineers do whatever it takes in order to serve the network and its users. I agree we need more blob space. My question is when? We can probably shift focus now and shift it back again. We should all ask more often what the game changer material is RIGHT NOW. Plans are there to serve us, not the other way around.
