Re-reading the article they were less concerned about personal electronics and more about major infrastructure.

Where my mind went was what if this happens when most vehicles are electric. 😬

So we would have 18 hours to get our electronics to safety? I wonder how simple of a box you could build in your basement or house that you could place your home electronics in to keep them safe?
