Degen hit ath with no brakes on tipping. Farming was rampant. All of the rules / guardrails / vault / bangate / came after.

ya well Ham did in the first airdrop and you could argue the complexity of Hamchain kept a lot of people off, plus the price of $tn100x never really took off relative to its potential
