When I minted my first NFT on Namecoin in 2014, I never imagined that I would become a herder of aye-ayes years later. As a digital artist, my interest in blockchain was sparked by the concept of digital scarcity. I recall struggling to grasp 'Colored Coins' on Bitcoin, an early attempt to create value on the blockchain.

In 2013, Vitalik Buterin published a paper detailing Colored Coins and their potential use cases. Vitalik fell out with the Colored Coin crew. I wonder if it was the ex-IDF eToro guy rubbed him the wrong way. It was for the best as it led him to develop the Turing-complete Ethereum platform.

Ethereum launched on July 30, 2015, and just a month later, Linagee created and minted ayeAyeCoin, an "I'm having fun here" token on Ethereum it had a built-in faucet that issued 6,000,00 non-di isi le coins with the charming message, 'ayeAyeCoin Love! One coin for you!'. The project then remained dormant until May 26, 2024, when it was rediscovered and reincarnated by GoatishDuck šŸšŸ¦† as $WAAC (required wrapping because pre-ERC20 standard). AyeAyeCoin is a milestone project in the history of blockchain, akin to the ViolaWWW Browser in the early days of the World Wide Web — a groundbreaking example of early exploration and innovation. I recommend that you grab a piece of history. šŸ‘€ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ViolaWWW šŸ¤” github.com/openblockchain… 😸 app.unidex.exchange/?chain=ethereu…
