Honestly... I think even the very wealthy who receive the big tax cuts will eventually suffer under this bill.  It doesn't push the US forward in any way.  What's the point of getting tax cuts if the USD becomes less valuable as a result?

The average American is too short sighted (or dumb) to think about long term effects.

I'm sure red state voters will re-vote in all the Senators and House Representatives that sold them out this week in the midterms and general elections.  Republicans literally have nothing to fear from their constituents... which truly needs to change.

I hope so!  I do think it's very likely that Republicans lose their slim majority in the House, Senate or both... but, by rights, every single Republican who voted for the BBB should be absolutely devastated by voters - but they won't be, and that's a massive shame.

Huge agree.  I really like ranked-choice voting, but by itself, it's not enough.  I think the US needs an independent electoral commission to prevent gerrymandering and to set and enforce finance requirements. 

Don't hate me, but now I kinda hope Trump breaks things so badly that the US has to overhaul its systems... but obviously, I hate that millions might suffer in the process.

We deserve better than a two party system without congressional term limits.
