Have you seen apps use NFT minting or ownership to purchase and access software?

What’s the most common way in web3, both for monetizing one time purchases as well as SaaS subscriptions?

I've implemented access passes for mintit.studio (platform to mint nft's on kadena) a while ago. It was a simple check of ownership in the smart contract. 

I'm bullish on NFT access passes in general.
