Camp setup. Big tall tarps for wet windy days. Bear boxes for food storage. Propane, dish drying bag, coolers, tree savers.

How often do you see bears in that area?

I see bears maybe twice a season on trail, but we've had issues with "problem bears" at the pack station - bears that get habituated to humans and dependent on us for food. It's sad, they're a menace and their quality of life isn't great. Often they are killed because they become dangerous. Best way to prevent that is not to feed them, keep food secure, and scare them away when you see them!
