The people who have reinvented themselves are the most interesting people I’ve found that they’re generally more curious and have more unique perspectives

Agreed and I'll toot my own horn here. I switched from Finance to IT a long time ago and I learned IT (Linux Admin/IT Sec) on my own. That combo (and the fact I live what I do) has really helped out a lot in my career.

Nice! What was the hardest part of those transitions?

Depending on how established you are in your current career it could be a bit difficult stepping down to a more Jr role in your new career (but if your new career is high growth that shouldnt last long). Also, learning something new and learning enough to make a career of it while holding down a full time job could be challenging (but thats why IT is so great b/c you can learn it on your own or take learn at home certifications on your own time/schedule). All worth it in the end I believe esp if you're unhappy at your current spot.
