I have been teaching meditation for a while... The first key I think is to make it a pleasant experience so that you feel happy to sit everyday. Look for you happinness. Use the techniques that interest you, but don't feel obliged by them. I often say that meditation can be a moment of complete freedom, when you liberate yourself from every obligation, even of the idea of meditating. Then you can observe, marvel, explore the nature of the mind and consciousness. It's an inner adventure.
