Niklas Poweleit’s Rezyklierung [Recycling] uses three screens to explores how images shift as they pass through different modes of perception and translation. A car moves down a road on the first screen. The second screen breaks this down into data, while the third presents an AI’s attempt to reconstruct the moment from its digital remains. What returns is not the same image, but something altered—reshaped by process and digital interpretation. Text by Clint Enns.
