Amount of process needed will greatly depend on the nature of the work and how easy it is to revert. For example, smart contracts require much more process than a UI feature.

At a minimum you should have CI/CD with good test coverage.
Ideally a second pair of eyes review the design/code.

Is this assuming that the “what” of the shipping is clear? How do u align on what to ship if everyone just ships stuff?
