What if NodeJS had never existed?

Rails was the most popular web framework around the time NodeJS came out but there were many different stacks out there. Now it seems that everything is just NodeJS even when it shouldn't be.

Building Farcaster

I loved rails. I enjoyed it more in 2015 than I enjoy node right now

I never shipped anything with rails but did play around with it. It was quite nice and clean.

I like minimal frameworks so I played around with Sinatra too.
Today I enjoy using Gin in Go.
