How would an index mindshare metric work?

What’s the relation between the individual assets mindshare to the index global mindshare?

Example:

Index A Mindshare = ?

Asset 1 = 3% ms 
Asset 2 = 2% ms
Asset 3 = 0.8% ms

Each asset has a global mindshare, based on how much attention it gets compared to all others — from mentions, reactions, views, etc. To get an index’s mindshare, you add up the global mindshare of all assets in that index. Then, each asset’s influence within the index is just its share of that total.

So:
→ Attention → Global Mindshare
→ Sum of assets’ mindshare → Index Mindshare
→ Individual ÷ Index → Asset’s weight inside the index

Simple way to track what portion of total attention your group of assets owns and how that’s distributed.

TL;DR:
Use weights if your index isn’t treating all assets equally. If it’s just a group of assets with equal footing, raw mindshare sums are fine.

well i can further break it down 
1. For Unweighted Index Mindshare
= Sum of global mindshare of all assets
→ Use when just tracking real-world attention.
2. For Weighted Index Mindshare
= Sum of (asset mindshare × its index weight)
→ Use when your index gives different importance to different assets.

Shouldn’t we take into account the weight of the asset for the index mindshare?
