Feels like a lot of builders in crypto overindex on the former because they romanticize the technology and the latter are much harder to build

One of the winners at zkhack berlin had won 60+ hackathons (in his X bio). Good for him I guess but it feels like fast fashion for devs. I don’t get if sponsors view this as marketing spend or if they actually think this will contribute to the ecosystem. Relevant:

crypto hackathon is a game now of who can integrate every single sponsor in their project in the most creative way possible to farm max bounties.

Judged one recently &amp; it’s hilarious to see teams sneaking in every sponsor like a checklist LOL
