Not sure if I’ll ever get comfortable with self driving cars. Way too much infrastructure is required to fully make it viable. I like the idea though - self driving self owned taxi on call.

Your intuition is right. Musk’s go-to-market approach js simple: instead of making FSD safe, buy the government, role back safety requirements, and hide the collision data. Same same.

Back in the 90’s I was told that only about 10-15% of the cars needed to get smart to completely solve the traffic and gridlock, because it will influence how others are driving. Maybe that’s still true.
