Why are we investing in video?

I've been spending a lot of time recently talking to users. Our goal is to figure out how we can get people to invite their friends to Farcaster. If we can solve this, Farcaster will grow.

When asking why people aren't inviting their friends to Farcaster, the overwhelming reason is they spend most of their time on TikTok / Instagram / YouTube (no X / Twitter).

So, video.

I've been thinking deeply about this too as a farcaster user with little to no engagement.

I think you don't just want ppl to get on FC, but that you want them to return and keep returning. I don't think it's video that does that, it's engagement.

Invite your friends to a party. If no one talks to them, they leave (and probably go back to the party where people do talk to them). I think it's that simple. Crack that, and you have the solution imo.
