I am in the mood to read some books that will change my worldview. Fiction, nonfiction — doesn’t matter. Any recommendations?

Accelerando, by Charles Stross. It has been spooky how often I find parallels between concepts in Accelerando and today's reality. The author's experience as a dev clinging to the bleeding edge of the .com boom and burnout drove him to ask a question: "What kind of person can actually live on the edge of a singularity, keeping pace while all around them the world is melted down and re-forged monthly, daily, hourly?" To describe it only as a science fiction book of short stories is negligent, but I lack the words to better describe its basic form. Accelerando isn't perfect, but it succeeds at knocking your personal frame of reference into running just ahead of the rest of the world. Everyone here is building something at a frenetic pace trying to keep up, and living in the world that we're creating. We're rebuilding the plane mid-flight to be something else. This tells the story of that, and leaves you with new concepts that feed further creation.
