I love Prague very much, this city opens up in a new way every time. And during one of my walks I noticed a building with a beautiful baroque façade, sculptures and a wide staircase. It immediately seemed complicated to me, as if it contained something more than just a hotel. And I was not mistaken.
Today, the Questenberk Hotel is located here, but earlier it was a canonical house at the Strahov Monastery, built in the 17th century. Monks and theologians lived here, led a spiritual and scientific life. The building is named after Jan Hugo von Questenberk, an aristocrat and philanthropist closely connected with the history of this place.🏰
Now it is a cozy boutique hotel, but if you look closely, the walls still breathe with antiquity. It is amazing how in Prague history can be so beautifully hidden in plain sight🏰 15 replies
