I plan to add more tools to make it easier to understand and strategize, but what do you think would make it easier to understand?

I'm unsure what you mean by the initial intention of V2. The intention hasn't changed from what I posted here and in the paragraph post:

I disagree that this will lead to everyone giving to the same trending people. Think of it like stock investing. Buying the most trending stock is less likely to produce a large return on investment than one nobody is paying attention to. 

The equivalent strategy for Farther would be to find high-quality users who are only starting to trend (ex: users in the 50-100 range on @hot100, or who you've found some other way).
