dune

why is my follower count always higher in dune dashboards than it shows on FC? Dune says I have 3334 but FC says I have 2k (which seems more accurate).

any assistance/explanation would be appreciated

It could be that they only count active, non-spammy FIDs. Spam labeling does not seem to have become stricter. What do you think @mvr @pichi? 

If true, it does seem that they look at a period that is less than 7 days to determine whether someone is active.

Your follower counts are going down because the spam algorithm is drunk or extra salty this week. 

When someone gets labeled as spammy, aka a “0” label, the Farcaster client no longer counts them in your follower count. They are still following you and you can see it on the protocol. 

Use this frame to see how many have been purged.

I don't think that's the case now. My followers are stable at the moment, and that wasn't the case two weeks ago. Back then, everyone lost about the same percentage of followers.

no this is definitely the case. Dune still displays the OG follower count and thats what i was confused by. The miniapp pichi shared showed me that the difference between the Dune count and the count on my profile was the amount of purged users calculated by the miniapp.

Of course I will share it then, differences of opinion only ensure that we do not jump to conclusions too quickly. It will take some time, first I have to do some other things

Still disagreeing 😄, but I will come back as soon as I have the answer (or if I have to admit that I'm wrong). 
Simple sums of followers in Dune already add up to different totals than in the mini app. In Dune, as far as I know, they are updated every 5 minutes. Something is not right somewhere, but I haven't found it yet.
