Last night while I couldn't sleep, I wrote this essay about what the future holds for my generation. Please consider giving it a read and sharing your thoughts, even if you disagree. I'm always open to the idea that I may be wrong. https://medium.com/@crsr404/what-future-awaits-the-youngest-generation-f91e85b74518

The agency expressed here is admirable. A true “you can just do things” spirit that is always so nice even when sometimes it feels like agency talk in the discourse is overdone. Make the future you want just don’t wait for something to be given to you I do wonder what that means to you or what that looks like. You aren’t very prescriptive; you ask for a move towards an abstract good without defining what good means Is anyone doing it really right, right now that you look up to? What is a project you would like to see someone inspired here take on?

it is interesting to think about. i think it's a bit reductionist to say there's only 2 paths and I'm not sure i agree the paths today are mostly "traditional" its rapidly changing for all parts of the world some points that are relevant but missed; -technological progress has always looked like this. it causes displacement but makes way for new industry at the same time -it is a special point in human development. the breakthroughs that lie ahead are like magic if robots and AI become a net benefit, then that looks like more spare time for people to reconnect there has been other key points in history like around 600 BCE where religion became more dominant, it's believed these changes happen simply because people had more time to connect and question their surroundings now we're in the digital information age and questioning those surroundings. so ya interesting to think about

Thanks for sharing this piece; practicing radical optimism and having a foundation of values- and morals-based decision making really helps me. I learned this concept (“Leadership Map”) in college about 11 years ago and writing it was a journey that helped me immensely as I navigated my 20s. It’s something I’m going back to for an update for my next chapter.

I enjoyed this piece. I think there are many points in history that can be compared to this moment- where great social upheaval meets great technological advancement. Where corruption and greed led to huge wealth disparities and ultimately revolution. That might be worth tying in. I look forward to reading more from you. Thanks for sharing.

I appreciate how honestly you approached this, it’s not easy to wrestle with the uncertainty ahead. There’s both caution and hope in your words, and that balance really resonated with me. You might not have all the answers, but your questions are on point.
