why are there mini apps on the top ten trending list that I’ve never seen a single person talk about using? which metric are they optimizing for and how? 🤔

Seems that way. Hope they can make the trending algo a little more robust in future — feels off to see thoughtful, sticky, useful apps like @matthewfox’s clankermon or @phil’s @ampsfun lagging behind some apps that I don’t think are really seeing as much organic use (but maybe I’m wrong?)

impact/usefulness can be hard to measure but i agree that the trending mini apps often surface apps that aren’t very popular and likely just have farmed activity since they’re gaming the trending mini app metrics - looking at you @farcasteradmin.eth :)

it's not the algo, not us, it's the people you live in this world where these are the trending apps when you complain, you simply yell at a cloud

fwiw I wasn’t surprised to see eggs at the top of the leaderboard. More so other apps that I’ve just legit never heard of anyone using

The world where these are the trending apps has architects that have designed a system which make these apps the “trending apps” Some of the top apps have been designed to game the system that the @farcaster team made which governs the trending app list In your analogy, i guess @dwr.eth and @v are the cloudgods
