It’s the eldest son 

He doesn’t complain he doesn’t cry In front of anyone but he’s breaking slowly silently 

He was raised to be the rock to protect to provide to carry burdens he never asked for not allowed to show weakness not allowed to say I’m tired 

He became the shield for everyone and in doing that he lost the right to fall himself dreams delayed pain hidden needs ignored 

He smiles at dinner while his soul is aching he says I’m good when his world is falling apart why? Because everyone assumes he’s the strong one he’s got it handled but even pillars crack under pressure even protectors need protection even he needs to be told you don’t have to carry it all alone 

If you’re the eldest son this is your reminder it’s okay to take off the cape it’s okay to say I’m not okay 

You deserve love you deserve rest
