If this happened, the rate at which people redeem the underlying (so it’s de-issued) would be low. I’d put my life savings on they nudge people to delegate votes to Blackrock.

So blackrock could continue to custody their holdings, but still sell them for cash while…

I'd bet that line of thinking played into why Fink changed his stance on blockchain

additionally they can offer novel types of yield generation, DeFi collateralization, and other benefits that come with tokenization that would further disincentive the sale of the underlying assets
