📍 Crevette, NYC This was my second time at Crevette, which opened earlier this year from the team behind Dame and Lord's. It's definitely a hot reservation (friend got lucky the first time) but I'm pleased to report after going back that it is absolutely worth the hype! Their raw bar and appetizer section is filled with gems, not a single bad bite on this first round. First up, the Sicilian sashimi: a dish inspired Swan Oyster Depot in SF which features salmon, black bass, tuna, and scallops dressed with olive oil, capers, red onion, lemon zest, and chives. Get the large, you won't be disappointed. Next, the red shrimp carpaccio featuring raw local shrimp from Montauk, olive oil, chives, and a dab of sweet caramelized onions that really take things over the top. One bite of this dish and you're instantly transported to the Amalfi Coast. Moving on to the bluefin tuna bites, wow. This is my favorite bite here and an absolute must order. Delicate, fatty tuna that absolutely melts in your mouth served over a shatteringly crispy potato bite that will have you forgetting about crispy rice altogether. Get at least one per person; we ended up ordering another round as our final bite at the end. Last but not least we have the razor clams. Perfectly cooked razor clams chopped up into nice bite-sized pieces served alongside a refreshing melange of cucumbers, parsley, and some other green stuff. Light and tasty. And this was all just the appetizers! Will share the rest of the meal and more photos in the thread below. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

For the mid course we got the mushrooms and deviled soft shell crab. One of the best mushroom dishes I've ever had, got it last time and knew we'd have to get it again. A perfectly roasted, flavorful medley of mushrooms paired with seared foie gras and an egg yolk that when mixed creates the most luxurious bite. First time getting the deviled soft shell crab and I wasn't sure what to expect. The crab itself was fried nicely with a crispy but light batter on the outside that didn't get in the way of its flavor. It was paired with a pepper-tomato-ish red sauce that I wasn't really expecting; it didn't taste bad but I'll probably skip it next time (just not my vibe).

On to the main course. The lamb ribs are fatty and delicious, with a flavorful but not overpowering spice blend right on top. They're paired with an onion and pepper piperade (think like the base of a shakshouka) as well as a delicious labneh and some parsley salad to brighten things up. We also ordered the crispy skate wing which was quite different than I expected. I thought it'd be shallow fried but it was actually served more like a chicken parm: breaded and fried over red sauce with some manila clams on the side. Wouldn't get it again, will probably go for the seafood rice (which we got last time and it was great) or dover sole next time. Importantly, DON'T SKIP THE FRIES. They're thin and crispy, like an upscale McDonald's vibe, and tossed with herbs for an extra oomph. Also served with an herby aioli which will have you dipping again and again.
