Can we have full frame images back in casts please? The cropped images look terrible for art.

What specific surface are you referencing here? Frame images as in images in frames or images in feed or cast views? We show full height of images on specific cast views and originals on zoom.

Ok that didn’t show up cropped when I shared it. As you scroll art channels, images aren’t full frame in casts. They need to be full frame all the time. Scroll my profile and you’ll see the crops.

"They need to be full frame all the time" I am not sure I agree with this premise. We have to apply limits depending on user devices and viewport spaces they have on feeds. With that being said — I will look into bumping the max limits a bit as long as it does not impact performance.

Thank you. My quote is based on art needs, not dev needs. Art needs to be viewed full frame to get the full impact/enjoyment of the piece. Artists choose their framing very carefully and by cropping the work it’s showing a lack of care for the craft. That’s my non dev opinion.

Understood. What I am trying to share is that although it looks like a dev concern primarily — most users experience your art on feeds and those people will not be able to do so on especially on lower end devices if we load them fully at all times on all screens. My hope is that we will find a good middle ground so its not as cropped as you are stating but also performant enough for many to enjoy Warpcast on mobile devices.

couldn’t agree more w renee, this is a big one for photographers and artists have heard it from many in the community preferably would have full vertical photos and much better resolution without needing to click into the photo quote casts another story, but the og cast i feel should be full

Good example. Totally takes away from the art when you can’t see the correct framing.

shows the resolution difference too when clicking in versus on the feed bc the textures on the fountain are super detailed i believe this is on the roadmap tho, higher res on the feed

Yes. We all want high res but hoping it’s not at the cost of cropping.
