Isotope separation. His life's work is to usher in the next age of materials (the isotope age). History has been demarcated by the materials used (stone age, bronze age, iron age, silicon age). We got a glimpse of the isotope age with nuclear weapons, nuclear power, nuclear medicine, etc... but we are very much behind, here.
