Yes but aren't pigs the main livestock of China? I imagine they're pretty cheap. I feel like dog farming would be a much bigger industry if it was as cost effective

I read an apocalypse novel somewhat recently where all the people were forced to. But it kind of sucked because they were so emotionally attached to their dogs that by the time they finally broke down and ate them the dogs were skin and bones
