be careful of people who insult others because of their identity (skin colour, culture, gender, sexuality)

even if someone hurts you or does something you perceive as insulting, it doesn’t give you carte blanche to attack their identity and things they can’t change about themselves 

it is okay to be hurt, but it is not okay to then sling derogatory terms back at them

exactly! that’s an even better insult imo bc then it’s like "you could NOT be this way yet you still are" 

attacking people for who they are genetically is just…not cool. especially when it’s coming from people who claim to be open and accepting. the cognitive dissonance there is wild 🥴
