i think it’s masterful distraction strategy that we’re discussing immigrants in Ohio eating pets as some abstract definition of racism instead of focusing on the *actual* issues caused by an unchecked border (national security and debt, employment, healthcare), and i think we’re all foolish to be falling for it.

these issues are not bc of an unchecked border - the us border has numerous checks in place - it is about the existing immigration policy and how we process and manage migration, asylum requests, and labor demands

as you can see in replies, some folks are focusing on unchecked border. not the meat of the conversation.
