this is how 4 different farcaster clients show my user profile. some interesting notes: - fc is the only one that hides spam accounts. of my 9.4k followers, only 3.6k are not “spammy” - uno shows neither followers or following - recaster & super display FID - badges: recaster & super show what i assume to be PRO badges (but might also be power badge remnants). super also shows subscriber badges. no badges on uno. - X links on all except uno. fc also shows streaks and $ earned (i deleted it here) - PFP most prominently displayed on uno, which is a design-forward app. - not shown, but super and recaster use your display name (sparkz) in-feed. uno and fc opt for your username (jacy). i have a strong preference for display name over username.

cool to see them laid out like this! for /uno > we show usernames since it's harder to spoof them. you can have the exact same display name as someone else, but no one can have the exact same username as you. since you can cast links and CAs, best to be as clear as possible about who is casting that content > followers is tricky as you can see here. 3.6k with the merkle spam algo, 9.4k with no filtering. what is your real following? do you define it by fids, humans, bots or no bots, ai agents? we don't want to show data we can't clearly communicate about yet > pro badge coming soon :)

thanks for this insight. both really practical and reasonable thought processes. never thought about username spoofing on fc but we do see it all the time on X so makes sense.
