UPDATE pt1: X-Ray tech found time to come today. I live in a walkeable neighborhood with like a little vet clinic right around the corner that doesn't keep xray gear there and CDMX has traveling xray techs with portable xray machines which was super slick and honestly brilliant way to set up services. He did xochi's xray. His toe is definitely broken like super broken as can see in pic which I'm going to make art of later. Xochi has to be put in anesthesia for them to set it so we are going to neuter him at the same time so he just has to recover once from 2 surgeries instead of doing the toe then neutering him later. I will have to keep him sedated for like a week at least after cause he is so active and doesn't settle to help it set. From there it will take a while for it to heal but he will be able to do more. more in comments

I talked to my landlord, sent him the xrays and he understands my anger and we had a long talk about it. I said I'm not pressing charges, I believe in a civil society so I won't retaliate no matter how angry they make me. I'm going to ask them to pay the vet bill and I'm going to insist that the dog be kept on leash whenever her door is open. I know I could press for more but I also have an aggressive dog since my dog is a former fighting dog so empathize with the dog. Which is why my dog was on a fucking muzzle and why their dog didn't get hurt. He said the building will discuss it all, because each apartment is a seperate owner, but the rule has always been dogs on leash in the commons area and I said I know that's how most buildings operate.

I just prefer they leave the building because I honestly don't feel safe living next to someone who has such a disregard for the safety of their dogs and others, but since I'm not an owner I just have to wait for my landlord to negotiate the issue, but at least how it's all working out I feel like the issue is being dealt with without escalating by involving police. However, I'm going to be super extra cautious leaving my apartment in and out and Glitch will be unmuzzled with my vets consent for the foreseeable future going in and out of the building because protecting me from violence is exactly why I have her.
