Among Dutch street food, the “Kroket” is one of the most famous. The croquette is usually filled with meat and a little bit of vegetables under its crispy, fried shell. The Dutch originally made croquettes with beef or veal, but now you can find chicken, shrimp, or even vegetarian croquettes. Place the croquette between the bread and then pour a generous amount of mustard sauce on top or dip it directly into the sauce and enjoy. Be careful not to burn your mouth; croquettes are always served piping hot.
