Mansaf is the national dish of Jordan, but it is also considered a staple dish in Palestine, Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, and Lebanon. This dish has several differences from other Arabic dishes, including the fact that frozen yogurt is used in the preparation of Mansaf, which is unique to Jordan, and the way it is served is very much in line with Jordanian customs and traditions.

Mansaf means large tray, and it is so named because it is served on large trays. The interesting thing about serving this dish is that it should be served standing up and in a group, and you should definitely eat your food with your hands.
