One of the mistakes I’ve made, and I believe many of us make, is striving too hard to build an audience instead of focusing on building a community
We often take pride in having 10k followers or receiving a high number of engagements on a post, but most of the time, these large numbers don’t reflect genuine care from people
They may engage once or follow us because of a single piece of content, only to disengage afterward. imo, this is how an audience behaves. Instead, we should focus on less, as in this context, less is truly more
Having just 1k followers with fewer but more genuine engagements is far more impactful in the long term than the scenario mentioned earlier
By building a community, a tribe of supporters who consistently engage with us and follow our journey, we create a foundation of people who support us in ways that empower us to pursue our dreams and build what we’ve always wanted🌹 2 replies
