no no it was gonna deduct $5 instead of $1

small misconception here: the first transaction is the approve function. this won’t buy tickets — it just approves the use of your usdc. after that, you select the ticket count, which should work normally and give you 1 ticket per dollar

so we figured out the issue

you're approving the max amount of USDC for use with our smart contract. however, warpcast wallet instead of showing "max" is showing the amount of USDC he has, which is $5 USDC. 

so we're reverting the change to approve max for now until warpcast wallet changes this behavior

Correct - but this is a bug. It used to be exact ($1), we just updated to max (to save a click for repeat users), so $5 is not expected regardless
