this seems true - related, punks specifically feel emblematic of a specific cypherpunkish ethereum L1 culture (stuff like terraforms, xcopy also fit here). the decline of $ETH the asset, and Ethereum L1 as an execution layer, has also led to the decline of this specific culture i think i used to think punks where like, the premier scarce cultural artifacts in crypto, but this no longer seems true to me, they are specifically the premier artifacts for *ethereum L1* so ETH L2s can "win", but if $ETH continues to underperform and people don't use the L1 then i'd still be bearish punks

i experienced an AGI moment today. i asked cursor to write a script to score 69,420,000 in CTG pinball and the craziest thing happened: it wrote a script. and just started spamming left right arrow keys. i lost control of my computer. i had to hard reset my computer. AI is incredible.

Stoked to announce the new @cooprecs protocol! Fixed editions at an affordable cost. Nothing too crazy - nothing too galaxy brain. Just a simple way to let people buy a limited number of songs in exchange for a download and a reward. This decision came from a feeling like we were sprinting too hard to meet the market trends where they currently were - and not enough time spent listening to artists and fans about what they actually want. Download culture is huge in the DJ scene and we believe Coop Recs can become a bedrock for emerging music and for those classic songs that everyone knows and loves. If there's a market that forms after the fact that's great - but we can't get too ahead of ourselves to rush to form markets before real fans are buying them.
