are there any good ipfs explorer tools??(eg. put in a cid and see its content) have just been using explore.ipld.io so far

That’s honestly one of the better ones imo, I’m not sure there’s another one like it. Another fun approach is accessing it through your own IPFS node through something like Kubo or IPFS desktop. It has the same built in explorer except you would be accessing and indexing it from your own node vs a hosted instance or gateway!

I guess the definitive answer is the ipfs client itself, but its probably not what you're looking for?

https://webui.ipfs.io/ is the best one, but unfortunately you need to run your own Kubo node to use it. The ideal solution would be if the inbrowser gateway implementation had an explorer mode, but it's not being prioritized by the Shipyard team: https://github.com/ipfs/service-worker-gateway/issues/666
