I need to update this post, but for anyone who is interested I did a blog on the most simplified and minimalistic setup for a mini app. It’s really just three pieces to turn any web app into a mini app:

Farcaster SDK to initialize 
Mini App embed meta tag
Farcaster manifest

bare minimum requirements/steps to make any website a mini app:
- manifest(farcaster.json) file
- embed meta tag that shows up on the feed
- use of @farcaster/frame-sdk or minikit to say your mini app is ready for the user to see
