My fellow travelers,
When we arrived at this modest but sturdy two-bedroom cabin, nestled among the pines, we were tired. We were hungry. Some of us were skeptical about the composting toilet.
But we believed, in that moment, that a better stay was possible.
And through hard work, shared meals, and a number of diverse board games, we came together. We built a fire. We found the extra blankets.
Now, was the hot tub warm? Not always. Did the host forget the Wi-Fi password? Yes. But we didn’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
Because this trip, this cabin, it reminded us of something fundamental: when people come together with hope, determination, and a well-labeled binder of check-in instructions… anything is possible.
Thank you. God bless you. And God bless Airbnb. 0 reply
