You're looking at it from the perspective of countries that actually grow endogenously from fertility. Canada grows entirely from immigration. Its very identity is rooted by the fact that everyone is an immigrant. Anyone who sells you some kind of "uniquely Canadian" food is scamming you with trash. :P
